While he blesses his followers by granting them strength and athletic prowess, Khorne does not truly care who spills blood, so long as the blood continues to be spilled.
With that fluff ('even its own teammates are starting to look nervous'), this should have been a piece that will bash its own team almost as often as the opposing team. Khorne favors close combat, abhorring wizards as he considers them cowardly. Of all the pieces that should have had Wild Animal, the Khorne Bloodspawn is the most Wild Animal-esque of them all. And little things like Akhorne, the Spike illustrations, and even the wording on some of the cards really help to lift Khorne into the Blood Bowl dimension and give them. The hyper-violence of Khorne didn’t seem to fit to my mind back then, but as I was flicking through Spike and looking at the cards and kit, I got a lot more into the idea.
